Epson 8350 is the first projector I purchase. after a lot of searching I chose the Epson 8350 and was kind of worried about daytime viewing. but once i started it up i was amazed at at the picture quality and clarity, every one that comes over is surprised at the clarity and the size i’m getting out of the 9′ distance..120″ screen!!! I’m very satisfied with this Epson 8350 projector, yes black aren’t superb but they are great for the price. Netflix looks awesome from my ps3 (through HDMI). 3D really isnt worth it right, now not enough stuff out there and technology is barely growing. so it shouldn’t really be a big factor for most. plus 3d glasses only look good when you staring straight you cant tilt or move too much or you will lose the effect and even with 3d tv’s you will notice the picture looks less vivid through the glasses so the images lose punch.

Had the Epson 8350 projector about a week. Projecting from backwall shelf 17′ to a 100″ Elite EZframe Cinegray in a basement that has good light control, one small covered window to deal with, but not full home theater conditions; we have white cielings and yellow/gold walls and white carpet. The Epson 8350 Cinegray screen keep very good black levels and color, even if there is a bathroom light on down the hall from the theater. Epson 8350 is my first projector and the picture is really outstanding out of the box. Both BlueRay and upconverted DVDs look really good. I’m going to do a little caliberation tweaking, but very little needed. We had Epson 8350 projecting on a bare wall for the first few days, until we got our scrren and even that looked outstanding. With the screen it is jaw dropping. Used to have a 50″ DLP rear projection TV. We use the projector mostly for movies, x360 games and some DirecTV sports. Yah, baby!

I just got Epson 8350 today ( 6-1-11 ) and wow what a great picture. I have a Sony S550 blu ray player with HDMI plugged in to it and it is sitting on a shelf 6 feet off the ground and 13 feet from the wall with about a 125″ picture. Right now Epson 8350 is projecting on my wall and looks great but I am going to order a 120″ screen. The machine is quiet and heavy, really feels well made. So far (1 day) I love Epson 8350 and would tell my friends to get one. If I have any problems I will update this. If you are looking for a great projector without spending huge amounts ( I got mine for $1135 ) the Epson 8350 is what you are looking for. The Epson 8350 lens shift made my set up fast and easy.
